Manufactured by Markus Balbach in Germany and supplied by Balbachdamast South Africa. This steel is super clean as it is produced and specially treated by a weld bonding process which prevents the build-up of contaminants in the steel or the welding seams to ensure the steel is free from delaminations.

As the damascus contains Bohler’s popular N690 stainless knife steel, South African knifemakers will have no difficulties hardening this steel.
