Description
We offer a variety of 3M Personal Protective Equipment / PPE.
The 6000 Series maintenance-free, reusable respirator from 3M is the basic face piece we recommend when starting to build a complete mask. Like the other 3M filter masks we sell, it requires no extra parts to attach the filters or cartridges directly to the face piece. They attach with a simple 1/4 turn bayonet style fitting and require no tools. The cartridges and filters are set low on the face piece to provide better visibility. We recommend the 3M – 2138 particulate filters to go with any of the masks. It is more than sufficient for knifemakers’ needs.
3M Personal Protective Equipment include essentials such as: 3M Respirator Masks / Particulate Filters / Vapour Cartridges.
It is essential to wear a quality respirator mask to minimise inhaling all the steel and composite particles & toxic vapours while making knives. Some wood species for instance are hazardous to the lungs with similar properties as asbestos.
