What is G10 handle material?

G10 is quite simply a thermoset plastic laminate. It is built using high pressure on layers of fibreglass mesh cloth that are impregnated with an epoxy resin binder. The resulting material is called G10 or sometimes G-10. Extensively used on knife and gun handles.

G10 is an almost indestructible material. It is very durable and does not absorb moisture. An excellent product to use as handle material on a knife, especially chef and hunting knives. Also great as liners to give contrast and fine detail on a knife handle.
