A Leather Stropping Belt, when used properly, will remove minor scratches, polish, and keep the edge sharp for longer. Stropping with leather is a near ancient practice. Adding the mechanical action of a belt sander to stropping is the next generation of sharpening. Stropping on a belt grinder takes a fraction of the time needed to achieve the same results with hand stropping.
