Description
The word ‘Paracord’ comes from its use by American paratroopers during the Second World War. After a parachute landing, the cord would be cut from the parachute and used for all kinds of applications. Because of its popularity today, the cord is available in many variants of varying quality.
Paracord is widely used for survival bracelets. The bracelets are worn by survivalists, hikers, climbers, campers, or anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
Whereas other ropes may be made from polyester or polypropylene, paracord is made from nylon and is known for its incredible strength-to-weight ratio. Nylon is highly elastic and is resistant to rot, mould, and UV light.
Seven removable Nylon threads are contained within the Nylon outer sheath. The Nylon threads can be used for fishing, stitching, repair work and hundreds of other uses. The outer braid can also be used separately for a wide variety of binding, lifting and load-securing functions.
