Acetone is a fast-evaporating solvent ideal for general cleaning.
Acetone is a powerful solvent widely used in the composites industry for degreasing and cleaning. Acetone will dissolve and remove epoxy, polyester and vinylester resin from surfaces. It is also used as a high-strength de-greaser for surface preparation prior to secondary bonding.
Acetone is a very effective solvent but has a relatively high evaporation rate, making it necessary to keep the container closed at all times when not in use for safety and economy.
