Handsanding Blocks – Polyurethane

Polyurethane is a plastic material. It’s flexibility makes it ideal to be used as Handsanding Blocks.

85SHORE hardness. Should be the same hardness as your contact wheel.

These blocks can be used to hand-sand flat blades, or shaped to any radius to match the radius of your contact wheel to hand-sand hollow grinds.

Use a wide range of VSM compact grain belts to polish knife blades up to #1200 grit, then round it off with a satin finish. Some #800 water paper and the sanding block can make hand-sanding an easy task.
