Rust-Oleum® Auto High Heat Spray Ceramic Coating is normally used on extra-hot exhaust manifolds and headers to look extra sleek. This flat, protective enamel bonds to bare metal and withstands intermittent temperatures of up to 1093°C.
It is suitable as an anti-scale paint for knife blades, before heat treatment to protect from decarb. Colour supplied may vary. Flat Black / Flat Grey.
For best results and easy removal after heat treatment, clean the blade with acetone, spray 2 coats 1 hour before you harden the blade. After hardening and tempering remove the paint with abrasive paper and water. (PS33 – P80 works well)
