- COARSE – Grits 60 to 80 – Cutting Back – For high stock removal & smoothing out deep scratches. Surface rust removal
- MEDIUM – Grits 100 to 240 – Blending & Sharping – For smoothing out shallow depressions & scratches, coarse sanding marks. Rounding sharp corners.
- FINE – Grits 320 to 600 – Finishing – For removing light scratches & sanding marks. Preparing surfaces for painting.
- SUPERFINE – Grits 1000 to 2000 – Finishing – For removing very light scratches & sanding marks. Final preparation for painting.
